I find it interesting that Dougherty County doesn’t have the money to raise the salaries of its employees but it does have the money to spend on lawyers to challenge the Lee County hospital.
The local media try to make him look bad, but the John Hayes that I know worked long hours after the storms volunteering and clearing trees and debris. Spencer Lee and Chris Cohilas are the villains in these legal shakedowns. John Hayes is standing up for the taxpayers.
Last Friday morning, a deliveryman for the Dawson Road Krystal came in and asked the people parked in the handicap spaces to move their cars. These were three older ladies, one in a wheelchair and two with walkers. They asked why, and he replied that it was easier to unload there. One left and the other two had their car moved farther from the building. No Krystal employee cared.
Thank you, Mary, for all for all those years of service. You must have spent countless hours digging up the information for all those columns. Digging through a “Safe Kept Memory” box the other day, I came across one of many that I had saved. Thanks and have a good retirement.
I think it’s an abomination when a church treats a sister church like they do. You know who you are. God doesn’t like greediness.
Squawker, in simple third-grade English, a new hospital will be bad because it will make health care costs go up, and it will also make property taxes in Dougherty County go up as Phoebe passes indigent care costs back to the county because of lost revenue.
Can you believe it? Little Marco says there’s no evidence the Trump tax cuts are going to help working-class men and women. We’ve been lied to by Mr. Trump again.
The vice president is supposed to speak at an NRA meeting, but members that attend the speech can’t bring their guns.
To the Squawker who has a problem with Kendrick Lamar receiving a Pulitzer: Well, the Trump base is calling for him to win a Nobel Prize, and no one is trashier that him.
If the Democrats were as determined to destroy Isis and the Taliban as they are to destroy Trump, this world would be a safer place.
I would like to thank Meagan at the AT&T store on Dawson Road for her friendly customer service. Thank you, Megan, and God bless.
Trump is not the champion of the common man and woman.
I think it’s a crying shame that the city commission and the city of Albany let the streets in our city get in the shape they’re in. They did a patch job on Whispering Pines, but these roads remain in the worst shape they’ve been in in 10 years. They need to get on the ball or get replaced.
There can never be enough nonprofits in Albany to offset the results of 80 percent illegitimacy and no father in the home.
Those who try to shame Christians for voting conservative should look at the liberals’ and progressives’ agendas. Who wants to eliminate gender, ignoring medical science? Who wants a society where comedians who are “filthy and mean” — Seth Myers’ description — are applauded?
