UNREVIEWED: DCSS employee indicted for theft, fraud, forgery

ALBANY — An information technology applications support specialist with the Dougherty County School System has been indicted by a Dougherty grand jury.

Nanette Marie Hagood was indicted Wednesday afternoon on five felony counts — theft by taking, financial transaction card theft, financial transaction card fraud, computer theft, and computer forgery.

The grand jury presentment charges that Hagood on or about Nov. 18 unlawfully obtained property belonging the the Dougherty County School Board. Count two accuses Hagood of obtaining a financial transaction card with the intent of defrauding the owner. Count three charges Hagood with using the card for the purpose of obtaining money. Count four accuses Hagood of computer theft by using the card with the intent of appropriating money.

Count five charges Hagood with creating, altering and deleting a tangible document, committing forgery.

The Dougherty County Sheriff’s Department has yet to make an arrest in the case.
