Waffle House to build near Darton State

ALBANY, Ga. — Waffle House will build a new restaurant near the campus of Darton State College, city officials say.
The restaurant has recently purchased land near the intersection of Westover Boulevard and Gillionville Road and will go somewhere between the intersection and the building that was formerly a Beef O’Brady’s restaurant, city of Albany Planning and Development Specialist Tracy Hester says.
“We don’t have a specific address for them yet, but they’ll go between Westover and the other building,” Hester said.
Hester said that the construction should begin in 60 to 90 days.
Once built, it will become the third Waffle House in the city. There is also a Waffle House in Lee County.
