I can understand and respect honoring those who valiantly fought over 150 years ago in a horrific war, but why is it necessary, on the day you honor them, to reopen old wounds of misunderstanding and dissension in a vitriolic, hate-filled, full-page, one-sided advertisement intended solely to divide, foster and spread hate? I am appalled that The Herald even published such an “advertisement,” but money does talk.
Thank you, Matt Fuller, for interrupting your family time on Sunday to meet with one of your Ward II constituents. It was truly appreciated.
Saw Ken Dyer’s huge grin in Sunday’s Herald. I’d grin, too, if I could pull off a $494,000 scam to pay a shady individual to provide seminars to Dougherty County teachers for eight months. No board vote, no details, just two signatures and half a million dollars.
I’m trying to understand this: So Assad can kill women and children in Syria, it’s just how he kills them that we don’t like?
I just want to congratulate Chehaw for a job well done at the Native American festival. The lines were out the door — and I’m sure they’ll get complaints for that — but it was great to see. I loved every minute of it. Way to go Chehaw.
Could an honest person (who knows the facts — not Fox News) really suggest Robert Mueller deserves to be in jail? Ludicrous.
What is the point of the same old James King propaganda calling Americans traitors and trying to live in the past, suggesting the Confederacy was not the traitor(s). Let’s close that chapter and look forward and live as Americans.
After seeing a full-page, name-calling color ad in the Sunday newspaper celebrating a hate-filled heritage that resulted from a lost war of 150 years ago, it’s easy to see why hatred is still so prevalent in Georgia today. President Lincoln, a “Yankee war criminal” and “father of Nazi-Germany ideology?” Instead of trying to build unity and respect for each other, people like King continue to stoke the fires of division. Sad, pathetic and obviously unchristian. Time to grow up and move forward and teach our children love and respect instead of hate and division.
To the four commissioners: Shame on you. I am ashamed to be from Albany, and I promise you come election time you will know how unhappy each of your constituents are with you.
I see on the front page of The Herald that disaster relief is going to get $64.9 million. I wonder if Radium Springs is going to get some of that to repair streets and remove trees and stumps. Please help us some.
Can any of you Trump supporters explain why he told the Russians that he was going to launch missiles? Perhaps because he is a puppet for Putin.
Only in America: Where you have four generations of people on food stamps.
My son might still be here today if it weren’t for a fair-weather friend who brought someone into his life who introduced him to a very bad habit.
Trump did what he had to do. The Senate can’t decide when they need to change their underwear, much less go in and invade another country.
