Recently, Dr. Fred Freeland stated he may have to close his animal clinic due to financial problems. For those who know this good man, that would be a shame. He does more for animals in this community than the rest of our vets combined, at a very low cost. If any group or individual really wants to give to a wonderful cause, his would be money well spent.

The law needs to find these people who are dealing dope that’s killing people and they should be tried for murder.

Just wanted to tell Dorothy Hubbard she better watch out for her job because Miss Do-Gooder is at it again.

What a spineless president we have. He made a living firing people on a reality TV show, but when it comes to firing people for real he can’t do it face-to-face. He has to hide behind a tweet.

Miss Nadine will be missed dearly, especially her letters to the editor. People say when a person with her wisdom and knowledge passes on, it’s like a library burning down.

Maybe WALB news should partner with The Albany Herald so we can get some local stories on the evening news.

I’m glad to see y’all put the old comics back in the paper, but they still can’t compete with the jokes in the Squawkbox.

BJ Fletcher’s Country Buffet is now hosting Bible study. The next move is to apply for tax-exempt status.

Let me make one statement: I have never met Mr. McCoy. However, everything I read about him in the paper indicates he is a whiner and a crybaby. I want somebody who has leadership qualities, and Mr. McCoy doesn’t appear to have that.

OK, Mr. Westside, while I might sympathize with you on your potholes, you can’t even imagine what the roads look like on the southside and eastside. If roads are bad on the westside, just imagine what they’re like over here. Plus, you can’t even see because the lights are all out.

Albany Utilities, please hire some more tellers. You go inside and the lines are long. You go outside, and three lanes are being handled by one teller. Please hire more help.

Please answer this question city manager: Why is it that the city is still running the Civic Center? Why haven’t you turned it over to Spectra?
