When you’re up to your elbows in alligators, it’s hard to remember you came to drain the swamp.

That was a wonderful speech by President Trump tonight about defense. I stood in my den and applauded when it was over.

We have a city commissioner raising hell about trash in the wrong dumpster, yet each week 90-140 people are booked into the Dougherty Jail and each day police report 30-50 criminal acts in Albany. That is what happens when you elect commissioners and hire city managers more interested in aesthetics than making Albany safe and desirable.

We have had Confederate monuments for over 100 years. Why are the Dems so concerned about them now? Why didn’t Obama have them removed? Would it be better to be concerned about healthcare, tax reform, education, infrastructure, and drug abuse?

Carlton, I’m with you 100 percent.

Obama was a weak president and weak leader that made our country weak. Trump stood up to North Korea, something Obama wouldn’t have had the guts to do.

Since the solar eclipse, my poor cat thinks he is seven days older than he really is.

In any war or confrontation, it doesn’t matter who is right or who is wrong, better or who is worse. There are no winners, only losers, and loss of life is the biggest loss of all. One loss of life is one loss too many.

Did Mr.Cohilas squander any taxpayer dollars on an impact study regarding the demise of Palmyra Hospital?

Our Navy should spend more time studying seamanship and less sensitivity training. Our piloting skills are obviously lacking.

As Christianity fades, things in the West get worse.

Carlton was absolutely correct in his criticism of the alt-right. He was wrong in his interpretation of President Trump’s comments. Now, he should do an article on the alt-left, who went to Charlottesville looking for trouble, and started it.

Let Lee County build a hospital. We need a choice.

Thanks to the Albany Police Department and all other law enforcement who helped solve all the recent murder cases. Also, thanks to all the citizens who cooperated with them in the investigations.

News flash, Carlton! I was in Ocilla over the weekend. They’ve torn down that statue of you.

It’s nice to know that racism only goes one way. Woe is me.

Sen. Corker, you make me laugh. You and the rest of Congress haven’t demonstrated any leadership skills in decades.

The destruction of the Democratic Party is no accountability.

Trump went to Washington to drain the swamp. Instead, the swamp is draining him.

On TV up to about 2 o’clock it was about the eclipse. I must’ve blinked. I didn’t get to see it.

Dougherty County School System, I hope you are planning to compensate employees for spending an hour extra at school Monday during the solar eclipse.

You got people covering their faces demonstrating against a people with hoods. They sound like they’re from the same group.

They should play the national anthem before these childish football players come on the field.

What happened to the hoopla about the eclipse? I didn’t see anything and I was in and out all day.
