There are several things the police department can do to help on the crime in the city. The first is fix street lights ASAP with LEDs. Two, put policemen on motorcycles, four or five, that can get to and from places faster than a car. Three, put the horse patrol back so they can be one-on-one with people in neighborhoods.

Why is it that our children can’t read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?

Large companies are not moving their businesses back to America because foreign employees will always be paid less wages and with little to no benefits. So, large corporate tax cuts only benefit stockholders and the Republican congressmen they support in elections.

Uh, oh, another Kool-Aid joke in The Squawkbox today. I got news for you. It’s more people drinking it than you think. It’s not just Democrats, but Republicans are drinking it, too.

You’ve got your head buried in the sand, squawker. The only collusion with Russia has been by Democrats. We’re going to put ‘em behind bars, too.

In America, we, the people, believe a person is innocent until evidence proves him guilty. Al Franken should step down and go home.

I want Schumer and Pelosi to tell the federal government not to give them a tax cut, they don’t want it. Let them continue paying at the highest rate in the world.

Mediacom, please bring back WSB from Atlanta to our cable TV system down here in Southwest Georgia.

Biblical beer? C’mon, give me a break.

Deplorable schooling: Just because I’m from the South doesn’t mean I can’t read.

I’d like to hear from Nadine regarding the front-page article on biblical beer.

Apparently Amazon is overwhelmed by order requests. The last five orders I have received have been something other than what I ordered — wrong size, wrong color, slim fit instead of regular fit. Maybe we should all shop at home locally.

To Spencer Lee and the rails to trails, you were told years ago the trail was never wanted in Sasser. Now you’re out here asking for money. If you don’t have enough money to run the thing, shut it down.

They finally passed a tax bill and you can hear the Democrats’ wailing and gnashing of teeth. Where have I heard that before?

Six days till Christmas, and almost no Christmas music to be heard on the radio. What little there is is politically correct, new-age junk that ain’t worth listening to. As Christianity fades, things get worse.

To the simple-minded squawker who said Nadine does not need to write in to the editor anymore, maybe we should listen to a 97-year-old woman. She’s been around; she’s seen a lot.

You can squawk, blog or write a book. Niether the clergy, scientists nor politicians will take heed. It’s all entertainment to them. If we don’t address the population issue soon, we’re going to be in awe of the outcome. We’ve doubled the population since 1970 — 7.5 billion now on planet Earth.

Go get a life, Mark Hamill. The world isn’t interested in two 25-year-old multimillion-dollar actors making out.
