Which letter is silent in the word “scent,” the S or the C?

Apparent, Trump can buy his supporters’ moral and Christian values with a tax cut.

You’re an old timer if you remember fishing at the dam for large stripers, and actually occasionally catching one. Haven’t heard about that being done in several years now.

When is Carlton going to follow McCoy’s example and sue someone for $3 million because he’s interim editor, not permanent editor?

The Democrats used to be a political party. Now they’re a mental health crisis.

When are we as people living in this city going to see actual changes? All the businesses closing, no job opportunities, insane amounts of crime, litter literally everywhere, 80 percent choose not to work. We have nothing to do, no night life and a huge homeless problem, but all you care about is planting trees and paving roads. This city is falling apart.

To the squawker about WG&L raising utility rates: If you will look back a few years, you will find the city of Albany assumed control of this business and now control the rates you pay.

OK, now I understand. If any woman makes any accusation against any man, he is automatically guilty and must be punished. 3,000 years of legal due process is just thrown out the window in that case.

Our Dear Leader, elected by the Electoral College and not the popular vote, is lurching from one self-imposed crisis to another in his cesspool. He and his staff of incompetents aren’t leading our country and are not role models our citizens, or anyone else in the world, want to emulate. What a disgrace as our standing slips in the world.

Headline: Flu adding patients to workload at Phoebe. Isn’t this a sign another hospital would be a good thing to have?

This Trump administration is in the biggest disarray of any president in the history of the United States. I hope we can survive it.

The country would be safer if the president was watching cartoons all day.

Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress have increased the deficit to $800 billion. This means the Tea Party is dead.

People who live in Jim Thomas Acres, quit throwing your trash out. Quit trashing the area you live in. That’s what trash cans are for.

I’m back with another chapter of my book “I’ve Seen It All Now.” The small town that I live in has only two grocery stores, and they have carts scattered all over Dawson. Someone I know went and mentioned it to the manager of one of the stores, and he said he could care less.

I’m a black man, and I want John Hayes to quit working against Mr. McCoy and support him as county administrator. Two black men fighting against each other doesn’t help this community move forward.

It’s interesting to step back and take a look at Lee County and Dougherty. Compare them, put their information side by side, and see which one you’d rather live in.

I’m watching the Olympics. Everyone stood for the Korean national anthem. Maybe the Koreans should talk to some of these NFL players about patriotism.
