My heart go out to the people affected by the shooting down in Florida. but parents need to be parents. It seems children are running the houses now. Children and adults as well are not held accountable for what they do these days.

Evil people kill people.

Everybody loves the police. Until they become the focus of their attention. Everybody hates lawyers. Until they need one.

Carlton, I am 69 years old and work every day at a skill very few 30-year-olds will ever possess. I intend to continue to offer this skill to anyone who needs it. I have no desire to get out of the way for anyone as long as I have the ability to continue.

Theatre Albany’s attendance is high when multi-cast plays suitable for the family are performed. Example: “Beauty and the Beast.”

Donald Trump did not cause the school shooter to be mentally ill. Why do you blame him? I am not a Trump admirer, but I am not filled with so much hate that I blame him for this tragedy.

If I were a teacher hiding behind a locked door from a gun, I would feel better if I had one of my own. Yes, I do know how to use one.

There is a place for those who want to shoot AK-47s and AR-12s. It is called the Army. So join if you want to play with automatic rifles.

In this Olympic season, we are making history. Congratulations, America! We have come up in world rankings. The United States is now in second place, right behind Yemen, in the category of mass shootings. Good job, NRA. Good job, Congress.

I’m an older white woman. I appreciate the article Carlton wrote on racism. As usual, he is spot-on.

Now most everyone knows the FBI screwed up in capturing the school shooter, They knew for four months there was a guy out there and claim they could not identify him. I thought they were better than that.

If that coach in Florida had a gun when he confronted that shooter, lives would have been saved, including his own.

I hope whoever stole the flashlight and my scissors out of my truck are enjoying them. I am praying for you.

Those individuals who willfully litter the streets and other places reveal their true character.

I read Eugene Robinson’s column about assault rifles with the thought coming to mind that more people are killed with handguns than assault rifles, especially in Chicago, Baltimore, Cleveland, other cities. They’re mostly black on black, but he never writes about them.

Using prisoners to pick up litter? Excellent suggestion.
