Once again, Commissioner B.J. Fletcher is spot-on, period. It defies reason why Dougherty tax assessors have for too many years exempted 25 percent of the tax digest when Lowndes County and larger counties are around 11 percent. The Dougherty County Taxpayer Association should reorganize and challenge the legality of these exemptions.
People incarcerated in jail are not required to get out and pick up trash. That’s strictly a volunteer service. They don’t want to be seen in public; they’d rather sit in jail. It’s against their constitutional rights. Forced labor went out with high-button shoes.
I don’t quite understand this thing about the NRA. If they ban them, is that going to stop people getting assault rifles? You can get any weapon you want in America.
I believe that Donald Trump is going to evolve into the greatest president we have ever seen. Imagine what he would be like if the Democrats would work with him. It would be unbelievable.
I have a question for you Trump lovers: Why didn’t he tweet a rebuttal to music legend Quincy Jones’ article that he used to date Ivanka Trump when she was 24 and he was 72. For those of you who don’t know who Quincy Jones is, he’s a musical legend, 82-year-old black man.
Got some really bad news for you Diane Feinstein: You’re the wrong color.
It’s Tuesday morning, Feb. 27 at 6:30 a.m. I’m reading the article by Michael Reagan and it’s wonderful. Please run it again.
Anarchy is the rule of the day. Rule of law has lost out.
I am right with you squawker on changing the channel. All they do is regurgitate what the big three channels say.
Definition of a racist: Someone who wins an argument with a liberal.
Casey Cagle should resign for being so outrageous with his threats against Delta, one of Georgia’s best corporate citizens.
NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch lied about crowds rushing the stage and shouting, “Burn her!” when she spoke at a CNN town hall meeting. I wonder where she gets lying about crowds from? She said guards had to escort her out. The guards came in with her! She was afraid to deliver her first lies without armed protection.
I grew up with guns in the house. They weren’t locked up but we understood, without boasting, about their power and purpose. Times have changed. Many cannot accept how current times have created an unnecessary purpose for more power.
MLK would be sickened by the African American leadership in Albany. He was jailed here trying to make a better life for them, and they are doing their best to destroy the city and drive business away in their path to make Albany another Detroit.
I am on Medicare and my benefits have not been cut, nor do I believe they will be cut. As far as Medicaid, it would truly be a blessing if they would cut all those who are physically able to work. I get nauseated when I am in line at the grocery store and see young, able-bodied people pull out their Peach Card and swipe it to pay for their groceries.
