squawkbox

@albanyherald.com

We may not know for years the effects of Casey Cagle’s attacks on Delta’s first amendment rights on behalf of the NRA, but we know right now what type of politician Casey Cagle is.

I like the squawker’s term “fake Christians.” The evangelicals supporting Trump as Christians whose actions and beliefs are not consistent with Jesus’ teachings are fake Christians.

Here comes Hillary again with her advice to our president for when he meets with the North Korean leader. Eight years with nothing worth saying, failing to become the 2016 president and now she wants to try warning President Trump when he talks to North Korea? She is really something. Can’t let it go, huh?

I feel a little bit stupider after reading Ms. Modeste’s opinion piece in the Herald. I wish I had the ability to un-read it. But I don’t.

I heard someone on the school board taking sides with the superintendent on this scam company trying to steal $500,000 from Dougherty County taxpayers saying, “It is only Title 1 money.” Don’t these people know where Title 1 money comes from?

At least four days a week I have noticed a gentlemen picking up trash along a four-block stretch of Westgate Drive near Westover Road. He brings his trash bag and pick-up tongs and cleans this area in about an hour. His name is Mr. Roy Reimer, and he is an example of what we all should be doing to make Albany a prettier place. Get a friend, take your family or bring your neighbors and follow Mr. Reimer’s example. Make your corner of the world a better place.

I think (myself only) girls/women that wear glasses look so intelligent and so much prettier than those with contacts.

To the Squawker who seems obsessed about Russia: Just hope you know we are ignoring your squawks.

Families are like fudge … mostly sweet, with a few nuts.

Sounds like the “expert” from Baltimore has a cousin on the school board.

The last straw will be when Albany State gets Clinton or Obama to speak.

Edward Schweikert’s comments in Friday’s paper irritated me beyond belief. He’s blaming doctors, pharmaceutical companies and people who die from opioids. If there were no opiates, there would be a lot of people dying in agony. If he means people who took an overdose, he should say so. He’s going to have a lot of people irritated at him.

Ms. Pinky, you sound like you might be a racist.

Trump is just a blowhard. Those tariffs he announced don’t apply to countries that import the most steel and aluminum. He’s all talk and no walk.

The left’s jealousy of Trump outweighs even their hate.

I never heard of so many experts. Experts here, experts there. Jiminy cricket, where were all these experts when things started going bad?

We need a police chief in Albany that can get the job done in all areas.

The first group who should enroll in the new coffee club tutoring thing that’s going to open downtown is the city commission, the county commission and the school board.

How I wish that we could return to the democracy of our forefathers and not this post-modern pseudo-democracy we have now. There’s nothing democratic about America.
