Agree wholeheartedly with Dougherty Commission editorial. However, why not point the blame where it belongs: at the four commissioners holding up the process.

Don’t you understand those students that went to that school where they had the shooting in Florida are very depressed? I’d be scared to go to school there, too.

Will your family reunion be in heaven or hell?

Send your money to the Freedom Caucus, not the RNC. The RNC are not conservatives.

The media need to find a new bone to chew on. These who-slept-with-who and who-slept-with-that-one allegations are getting old.

Haven’t seen where any of our local legislators from Dougherty, Lee or Terrell County have introduced a bill to take the property tax off senior citizens in Dougherty County. Still waiting.

Everybody appreciates a free press. A biased press is disgusting.

When I opened my paper, I noticed the picture of Jim Hendricks was missing. He will be missed. I only hope he continues to write for the editorial page.

I have lived in Baker County for 79 years, and I have never heard of anybody saying black people were not allowed to stand tall and look a white person in the face. I don’t know where attorney Johnson got her information, but she is either ignorant of history or a liar.

I found something out the other day to show you about human nature. I own a small business. A man down the street from me who is supposed to be my good friend has gone behind my back, getting my help to do work on the side for him instead of calling me. To save a dollar, he’s going behind my back.

George Will and Carlton Fletcher on the Sunday editorial page. It don’t get no better than that.

Would somebody please wake up Jeff Sessions and show him the way back to Alabama?

Know what a class act is? Showing up to the party when you’re invited. Even if you don’t like the person, show some respect.

Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr., better known as Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, once said having Trump as president is saying it is OK to grope women when you meet them. However, having Bill Clinton as president was like saying it is okay to cheat on your wife while you are president.

Why is it that people won’t stop for a red light, but you can’t get them to go when the lights turn green? Many folks seem to think one more car can get through after the light turns red.

Dear Lt. Gov. Casey: How is the NRA going to replace the jobs expected from Amazon, which probably is not coming now, or the jobs from Delta, which is probably leaving when their lease at the Atlanta airport expires. Great job.

Only in America do people talk about bulletproof backpacks. Thank you, NRA.

Citizens are tired of tax-exempt organizations in Dougherty County. I could not help but laugh at the announcements of three new business ventures opening on Front Street downtown. One is a nonprofit, which means they are tax-exempt, and the taxpayers are financing the new fish house restaurant also. So, one business is opening on its own dollars?
