How does the Dougherty County School Board plan to repurpose the state-of-the-art cafeteria they just spent a million dollars on at Albany High School?

Four DCSS board members just eliminated hundreds of opportunities for students annually by closing Albany High. Sports, music, drama and other activities are motivators for academic achievement and graduation. No cost saving for our community. Shame.

Dougherty County Commission is reaching into reserves to offset a million dollar decline in property taxes this year. Next year after the reassessment of the industrial properties lost due to the tornado, expect a reduction of millions more.

I read Tom Purcell’s Wednesday news column. I agree with him 100 percent. By the time we got to the eighth grade, we knew just about everything about the Constitution.

I’d like to know why law enforcement is not stopping the pills coming into Albany. They know who the suppliers are in this town, they know who’s pushing and they know where all the hot spots are. I want to know why Greg Edwards is not taking a more assertive approach to this.

Trump has more sense in his big toe than the Left does in their collective craniums.

Why are the Democrats not being held responsible for the corruption in their party? It’s swept under the rug.

Trump gets it regarding Islamic terrorism. Unfortunately, most of the Left doesn’t. What’s it going to take? One of your loved ones getting killed?

I watch good people so consumed with hatred for Donald Trump that they believe everything they hear on CNN and MSNBC. They never question anything they hear.

In response to the historic preservation squawk in the June 3rd Albany Herald: Perhaps you are the one that doesn’t understand. A zoning ordinance could prevent that curb store by your house and/or businesses from encroaching. The real encroachment is from one group of citizens attempting to hold sway over another group of citizens.
