Bah, humbug to those Squawkbox Scrooges who squawk all sorts of faults about our city, as if other towns do not have most or all of the same faults. With such unique facilities as the RiverQuarium, the zoo, the planetarium, several museums and wide streets that minimize traffic congestion, Albany’s good features far outnumber the less favorable.

Four years ago, Darton State College had an enrollment of 6,200 students. Today, the combined campuses of Albany State are just over 7,000, and we’re not sure they’re all paid yet.
