26TH ANNUAL ALBANY SPORTS HALL OF FAME — DALLIS SMITH: Westover’s Smith left his mark on sports world, then came home — and did the same

After one season with the Seattle Seahawks, former Westover football and basketball star Dallis Smith returned home to help out his mother, who raised his six brothers and sisters by herself. Smith eventually got into coaching and was later inducted into his college hall of fame at Valdosta State, and Monday he will be enshrined into the Albany Sports Hall of Fame.
