A staple of the annual Georgia-Florida football game is going away.

The Jacksonville Landing, a mall and gathering spot for fans in town for the Southeastern Conference football clash, is expected to be demolished before the two teams play in 2019. The city council voted Tuesday to take control of the facility from Sleiman Enterprises, which bought the riverfront property in 2003, according to a report from the Florida Times-Union.

The city’s possible plans for the site include a new development with a green-filled park and buildings with a mix of offices, residential properties and stores.

The Landing opened in 1987 and became a gathering place for football games at the nearby stadium. It will host its final event this weekend, The Landing’s Last Bash.
