ATHENS, Ga. — Bulldog offensive lineman Chad Lindberg has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team, according to a CSC announcement Tuesday.

Lindberg, a native of League City, Texas, is one of only six players from the Southeastern Conference selected for either the First or Second Team. This marks the second consecutive year Georgia has had an Academic All-American in football after Brock Bowers earned First Team honors in 2022. There have been 28 Academic All-America honors for the Bulldogs dating back to 1960.

Lindberg graduated magna cum laude (3.75 GPA) in May 2023 with a Finance degree. He continues work towards a Master’s of Business Analytics.

Lindberg joined fellow UGA graduate and Texas native Jared Zirkel on the CSC Academic All-District Team at the end of the season.

Suiting up in 13 games for the 13-1 Bulldogs this season, Lindberg was part of an offense that averaged 40.1 points per game (No. 5 nationally) and a member of the offensive line that allowed less than a sack each contest in 2023.
