Kudos to Diana Brown for standing up for what she believes in and to the bully, Chairman Heard.

A 12-year-old boy shot at 1 a.m. while on his front porch on a school day. And the school administration blames the lowest scores in the state on COVID and poverty. How about some of the mothers that do not monitor their children or do not care?
Albany Young Marines, congratulations. Well-done! These are not celebrated relics, plaques and crumbling edifices of the past but young, standing-tall in leadership and character, hope for the present and future. There are others in Albany, few, uncelebrated, but there. These are the heritage that should demand our attention, investment and support.
Give a Democrat a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a democrat to fish, and he will create a fishing license, tax your rod, identify the fish as endangered and close your fishing spot.
This community would be a whole lot better off -- financially, spiritually, safetywise -- if everyone stopped looking for a handout and worked to take care of themselves and their families.
The auto equivalent of the grammatical oxymoron: Thinking you’re cool, a hunk of engine-revving, attention-grabbing, no-muffler admiration, while driving a 2015 caravan, a tired automatic 6-cylinder gray Charger, a red pickup hauling a lawnmower and being by-yourself, bald, in a new convertible Camaro at Longhorn.

Reading the Milestones test scores as reported in the Herald showed a steep decline in English, with only 47% of eighth-graders proficient in math, and third-graders at 44%. Overall proficiency rates indicate most students struggle to master the material. Does that make you wonder how all of these kids are getting into college, and passing that work, and so many themselves becoming teachers?
Tell the truth and shame the devil: Even Fox News admits that Trump’s approval rating is only up among the GOP, aka his MAGA cult members.
No, no, no! The city rebuilds the Ritz every 20 years, only to see it crumble and die again and again. Jimmie’s Hot Dog works; Ritz, never. Albany Theater’s heritage died with my generation. Who cares? It’s dead folks, a blighted relic, money sinkhole where no one will visit or live, no matter how many millions are spent. Shoot that old horse and let’s move on.
