Albany Young Marines, congratulations. Well-done!  These are not celebrated relics, plaques and crumbling edifices of the past but young, standing-tall in leadership and character, hope for the present and future. There are others in Albany, few, uncelebrated, but there. These are the heritage that should demand our attention, investment and support.

Be leery of most things mainstream in American academia and big media. This includes medicine, vaccines, climate change, critical race theory, reimagined history and atheism.

I’m always reading about criminals running crime organizations from prisons with their cell phones. Some have stolen millions electronically. Cellphones and drugs, are items most smuggled into prisons. With all of our tech talents, why can’t we scramble or distort the phones so they won’t function inside of prisons?

Jews and Arabs are both Semites, so who are the victims of anti-Semitism?

This is getting real folks. Republicans in the Texas House forced returning Democrats to sign what the Democrats called “permission slips,” agreeing to around-the-clock surveillance by state Department of Public Safety officers. However, Democratic Rep. Nicole Collier refused and remained on the House floor last Monday night. Democracy is dying in front of us. Trump and the Republican party are not hiding their march to authoritarianism.

Fletcher, you say you were raised in rural Irwin County and hunted as frequently as possible when you were young. Sorry, I’m not buying that. Anyone as vehemently opposed to guns as you has obviously never handled a firearm.

Since Trump has become president, there are less and less jobs being created every month. SMRs, I hope you have saved up.

I passed a car on Dawson Road yesterday that had no license plate, but a hand-written sign that said “Test Drive.” The driver had decorations hanging from the rearview mirror and a steering wheel cover. Either they just didn’t want to pay for a tag or they are criminals. APD passed by us both, unbothered. You can’t make this stuff up.
