Our pastor chair, mayor, and commissioners should do these things rather than spend our money at conferences: Sit at a busy intersection to enjoy loud Charger racing; hang in the parking lot of a slum motel to experience the chaos; wait in line at the broken Probate Court; watch people parking illegally in handicapped spaces; pick up trash of litterers they refuse to ticket; time APD and AFD responses.
How many of these back-to-school supply giveaways are taxpayer-funded? One is enough.
Rickover used the following seven rules for success: Practice continuous improvement; hire smart people; establish quality supervision; respect the dangers you face; training must be constant and rigorous; audit, control and inspect, and learn from past mistakes. Kudos to the governor's office for helping Camilla. Now we need some help in Albany with endless negligence in our leadership. It seems like half of our city could be on fire or underwater, and our commissioners would be arguing about which pastor to rename a building for, how much of a raise they deserve, or how much to spend on a church-run shoddy-built apartment complex no one asked for.
Wait a d**n minute. In the days of unbridled unethical political behaviors, maneuverings and conspiracies, the “lieutenant governor” running for governor conveniently announces a plan to eliminate Georgia income tax. He just lost my vote. Think people, think!
