During Dozy Don’s first term, he let the COVID in and we all got sick. During his second term, he put in tariffs, started a war and caused inflation to rise up out of control. Dozy Don’s leadership is bad.

The “60 Minutes” interview with the Cardinals of the Catholic church in America made it real clear where the church stands on illegal immigration and the U.S. stopping Iran from developing a nuclear bomb. They even brought up the suffering of children in war. With the history of the Catholic Church, I would be careful talking about suffering children.

Looks like the “reverend” who is now running the United Way of Southwest Georgia is getting in on the money grab that others like Heard and Simmons have glommed onto. Take a look at how much in “administration fees” this person duped the city out of. Don’t these dolts on the commission know they’re just lining these “preachers'” pockets?

It was reported before we bombed the nuclear facilities that Iran moved the enriched uranium for safe keeping. They now say that it is buried under the rubble. I hope they are telling the truth because they seldom do.

It seems the main complaint of most officials complaining about Albany State not sponsoring the National Youth Sports Program this summer is the kids not getting the free meal. Are any of these mothers feeding their children when school or government programs are not? Why can’t the mothers feed their children with the food stamps, free rent, subsidized utilities, etc.? Do the mothers have any responsibility? During school year, schools pack lunches on Friday for the kids to take home. Is it getting to where the mother’s do not feed their children at all

I truly loved the “Tanks, Albany” story and picture in Thursday’s Herald. What a clever idea. I hope this gentleman has success with his business. I plan to support him.

My property taxes go up every year. But every time I call the city for anything, all I get is no answer or a bad attitude. And the downtown office is a ghost town most of the time. If you go there, many of the employees don’t even show up. Offices and cubicles sit empty all day. Something is very suspicious about our local government. It all feels very odd.

It is incredibly sad that the families that live in the avenues along Slappey have to put up with the constant noise from loud speeders all night. Albany Police officers don’t even try to catch them. We never even see them in our area. They never come by anymore. And we are paying higher taxes for this dangerous situation?

The True President has been manipulated by the state of Israel into bombing Iran, and now we can’t afford gas. Trump’s leadership has failed.

Saw one of the young Albany speeders pull up to a traffic light and notice a law enforcement vehicle in the other lane. When the light changed, the speeder gave a little wave to the officer, then took off like a bat out of hell, weaving in and out of traffic, his loud muffler roaring. The law enforcement officer pulled off slowly, as if he didn’t see this person breaking all kinds of traffic laws. That’s Albany law enforcement.

Trump should leave religion to the churches and concentrate on politics. The Pope should stay out of politics and focus on religion.

I laughed the other day when I read members of the Trump cult making excuses for him posting an AI-generated photo of himself as Jesus. Yep, if the Trumpeteers will stand up for their man even when he commits blasphemy, they are all in: mind, body and soul.

There is a small but committed group in Albany/Dougherty County who are attempting to discredit school system officials, even when they have successes. These people have axes to grind, so they use this anonymous forum to attack school programs and leaders. I invite the community to visit the schools and find out first-hand what is happening. Before you believe this group that wants to take out their own inequities on the school system, find out the truth first.
