SQUAWKBOX: APRIL 9, 2026

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For those of you who quickly put a “go-fund-me” request up online anytime something bad happens to you: There may be suckers out there who are willing to pay for your misfortune, but you can count me out. I already pay for groceries for most of you.

Tax exempt organizations must publish on the Internet their financial returns submitted to the government (tax returns). The ASCPA, for instance, has 14 executives on the payroll who make more than a quarter of a million dollars a year, and the top dog makes over $1 million a year. I will never give them a penny.

Narcissist Trump has become the most influential and most dangerous man on the planet, now being orchestrated, through his baleful, insidious solely ill-conceived self-promotion. The U.S., now $40 trillion in debt with exhausted resources of oil, weapons, global allies, deeply divided and morally bankrupt, faces a devastating future prognosis of Biblical proportions, ignored by Congress but in sight of all humanity.

When I first met Carlton, I thought he was on medication. After getting to know him over the years, I wonder why he isn’t.

I guess ASU President Scott has to save up the university’s money to pay for his “very DEI-centric” cabinet. You Trump worshipers must get really tired of making excuses for the man who is “doing what we elected him to do.” Rather than admit you made a horrendous mistake, you keep giving this soon-to-be-convicted pedophile your support even though he single-handedly has us on the brink of World War III and our economy on the verge of collapse.

I see the coroner is still showing up in Herald pictures with the Star Business of the Week, and he still has the full-size decorated truck paid for by taxpayers. You would think after a national TV show showing how incompetent he is performing his job, he might be a little lower key.

Iran is a classic case of an alligator mouth overloading a hummingbird butt.

Mr. Fletcher: I appreciate your column on Albany State’s decision not to have the NYSP on campus very much. Two of my grandchildren spent four summers each with that program, and I had two more who were looking forward to it this year. My grandchildren learned how to swim and met some very nice friends at NYSP. The community will be less for losing this program.

Yeah, Chris Hayes. I know you’d love to get back on stage and do it one more time. How about a little reunion gig?
