I couldn’t help but notice the contradiction in The Herald with the front-page article about Daysha Polite and her soon-to-be nonprofit to give away food vs the Page 5 article on Effingham County bringing 400 new jobs with Virginia Transformer, a private company. A tale of two cities: one announcing a hopeful nonprofit by an ASU grad and the other a real company that pays taxes, with real pay and 400 new jobs.

I hope everyone had a happy tariff Thanksgiving.

To all the Trump haters: Imagine if Harris had won. What would be now? Open borders,unfunded police and inflation though the roof? Oh, wait, I’m sure the loony left and others would make up some excuse like always. Won’t face the truth, even if it’s in front of them.

Talk about irony. Trump is selling handguns that he can’t buy himself because he’s a convicted felon. The commander-in-chief of the army and navy can’t buy a gun. Let that sink in. The Man Without a Family

Heard should be removed from office for the way he talked to and treated Commissioner Gray. There is absolutely no excuse for his behavior.

Second Harvest is a division of Feeding America, same as Feeding the Valley. Second Harvest moved to Valdosta after Freddie Powell Sims cut them off from the tax money they were asking for; they were not providing the Albany area with any food or services. so they moved to Valdosta. While Feeding America changed the name of the Albany branch to Feeding the Valley, it’s all the same bunch.

Albany taxpayers now understand that every time our low-life commissioners build more projects, hard-working families here get stuck with the tax bill to house lazy out-of-towners that were priced out of Florida and Atlanta. Enough. Stand up for your city. No more projects.

So now we are going to pour $207,000 into the Civil Rights Museum when the administrators stood by and allowed the building to deteriorate. No wonder Albany/Dougherty County will never succeed.

I’m happy that Ms. Holmes received her appointment from the governor, but to hear her talking about revamping the Labor Department is too funny. She allowed the local chamber to deteriorate to a shell of its former self.

Hey, Squawker, the price of a barrel of oil is $60, and gas is still $ 2.79. Dozy Don promised to bring gas below $2. He has not kept that promise.
