I believe it was comedian Richard Prior who said, “Are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?” That’s the hold Trump has over his minions who refuse to see the truth when it’s staring them in the face. They believe him when he says the economy is “fixed,” even though they’re paying higher prices everywhere. None so blind …

Our commissioners want $70 million of our tax dollars for a convention center? Must be a joke? The city already neglects dozens of crumbling facilities. Our roads have potholes, and we have no police. Not to mention, Las Vegas now struggles to attract meetings in its convention center post-COVID. Why do Commissioners always want to buy a silly new toy with other people’s money? Take better care of those of us here that pay taxes, and clean up our city to attract private investment.

I absolutely loved the story about the Stifftones in Saturday’s Herald. Because of the fun story, I went to see them. They were excellent. Thanks for giving us the info.

You people quit complaining about the president’s policies. Things aren’t great right now because of the mess left by Joe Biden. But, mark my words, Republicans will win big in the midterms, and the greatest president in our country’s history will lead an amazing comeback.

Pam Bondi has made it clear that she is not the attorney general. She’s Donald Trump’s personal attorney, and she’s being paid with your tax dollars. Even MAGA should have a problem with that, but they don’t. Trump is lining his pockets, but MAGA doesn’t care. That Man Without a Family

I’ve been waiting anxiously for that $195,000 “virtual civil rights tour” that my tax money helped pay for. Is this just another instance of our supposed leaders giving money to their friends at the expense of people who actually work for a living?

If Phoebe can afford to give a family $200,000 for their new home, a fatherless home it seems, they can afford not to send bills to seniors for charges that Medicare does not cover. Those seniors worked and paid for their homes.

I was hoping for another column by Chad Warbington in Saturday’s Herald. I guess “regular” publication means whenever he has an issue to complain about.

The Dems could lose one of their biggest voting blocks. How can they get a picture ID for a dead person?
