Question for the Deerfield crowd, since they love to lurk on the Squawkbox page: How can a teacher at the Upper School campus repeatedly leave students unattended during classes to step outside to vape? The behavior isn’t really a secret anymore if every kid knows and now parents are openly discussing it.

At some point, the City Commission, mayor, and city manager are going to have to explain the city’s operational dysfunction. Some departments operate well, while others are 100% broken. Dozens of useless employees that quiet-quit years ago, but no one gets laid off. Taxes go up. Our city needs a full operational and financial audit as soon as possible. Millions of your tax dollars are being wasted.

One of the most toxic facets of our local community is churchgoers’ inclination to vote based on their pastor’s recommendation. It has been completely devastating for the poorest neighborhoods in our city, as it has brought out the worst, greedy commission candidates that just want to put money in their own pocket.

The incompetent orange loser: Never had a plan, does not have a plan now, and does not know how to let go of the tar baby.

To the Trumpet knucklehead who claims “Trump was touched“ by the hand of God: You got that right, he is most definitely touched. Unfortunately, you got the “destined for greatness” backassward: We are now ridiculed by the world for our stupid racist warmonger in chief. The world knows we have abandoned the great American ideals: freedom, democracy, and truth for your clown. The greatest generation collectively rolls in their graves.

A server told me the new standard tip rate is 30% due to inflation. I told her the restaurant adjusted its prices for inflation, so she was already receiving the inflation adjustment and was just trying to work a con.

I think the Atlanta Braves are a stronger team when Acuna is on the injured list.

To the anti-ICE people and the people that want to fight and argue with cops here in the USA, please do so in Mexico, Korea, South America or almost anywhere else in the world and see what happens.

You have to just shake your head at the mayor of chicago. He is letting the children of Chicago skip school, and taxpayers are paying for their transportation to a May Day Trump protest of Trump in the city. I am not a Trump fan, but the kids in Chicago schools cannot read.

If the latest Epstein Files atrocities prove to be true (killing babies!?), even Franklin Graham may have to adjust his “touched by God” proclamation about Trump.

We cannot afford to spend money on Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security, etc. But we can pay for unjustified settlements of billions to Jan. 6 insurrectionist Pat Flynn, the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, other neo-Nazi groups and the most corrupt of all, Trump himself. He is suing the federal government for $10 billion, which the DOJ is set to settle.
