Everyone, and I mean everyone, knows that America is aging, led by the baby boomer generation. That means there is a need for an increase in trained medical personnel. Tell me why the Department of Education would declare advanced Nursing degrees as non professional, making it more difficult for students to get aid that lowers loans needed to fund their education? Intentional incompetence or generational selection?

A few important truths: Both sets of local commissioners have behaved unprofessionally and made poor decisions with selfish agendas. Many departments are highly efficient, but others are completely dysfunctional. Toxic middle managers watch Netflix on their phones all day. Service requests and 911 calls are ignored. Look, all you Trump haters — and I know there are a lot of you out there — you’re wasting your breath, time and typing prowess complaining about Trump and the people who support him. The people you’re trying to convince will double down on their support just to spite you. Just leave it alone. At some point, perhaps when the country’s about to collapse, they’ll see for themselves how foolish they were to put this man in office. Just pray it’s not too late.

It is always about the grift. Trump’s DHS Secretary awarded a part of a $220 million public campaign contract, which did not undergo the usual bidding process, to a company called Strategy Group. Days before the contract was awarded, another company, Safe America Media, was formed, hidden under a Delaware corporation that got a huge portion of that contract. These companies are partly owned and connected to Noem, her aides, and relatives. This is commonly referred to as “playing hide the salami with taxpayer money.”

Probably as many or more dummy Republicans will be the ones paying more for their health insurance; no matter that it will wipe out their majority in Congress

The top three U.S. Senators that received money from Big Pharma: (1) Bernie Sanders, $23 million; (2) Raphael Warnock, $12 million; (3) Elizabeth Warren $10 million. No wonder they scream about extending ObamaCare and taxpayers paying the bills.

We are appalled when we read stories in The Herald about individuals in our state and region being arrested on charges of child molestation. But when the person who serves as our president, a position that once commanded respect, is apparently guilty of the same thing, we want to protect him from evidence that implicates him. You people really are either brainwashed or idiots.

Go ahead and release the Epstein Files. Our great president had nothing to do with that sorry business.

I hope the citizens that voted Commissioner Langstaff out of office will remember his swing vote kept the other commissioners from giving themselves a pay raise a year or so ago, and the others got really angry at Langstaff. Now, with a new commissioner taking Langstaff’s seat, they will surely give themselves more unearned money.

Emails just released now show that Trump knew about Epstein using underage girls for sex parties. He also did spend time in Epstein’s home, on plane rides, and they spent time together on Fantasy Island. The only fantasy here is why the MAGA crowd still believes his lies that he’s not complicit.

Phoebe Putney Hospital is crucial to Albany and does very important things for our community, but the fact it owns hundreds of properties valued in the millions of dollars without paying property taxes on them is the primary reason Albany/Dougherty County is facing a financial crisis.

If the Dougherty County tax commissioner can’t get the tax bills out on time, I feel it is our right as citizens to be late paying the bill. Can’t have it both ways, tax commissioner.

Now that Marjorie Taylor Greene has turned on Trump, he’s calling her Marjorie Taylor Brown because “green turns brown when it begins to rot.” It will be interesting to see if she’s re-elected next year or if her MAGA base will turn on her. The Man Without a Family

That white Republican voter elected Trump to create jobs and make everything affordable. But Trump has spent more time on tariffs and foreign affairs. That Republican voter can not afford anything now.
