Many folks in Albany are always asking why the city cannot move forward. A very good indication is the not-guilty verdict the jury decided on the Cobb-Williams trial this week. And people still wonder why our students score so low on state cognitive tests. Teachers like this, most from Albany State with a masters from some online for-profit “school.”

The connection to mental instability and violence is obvious. But when it comes to liberalism and mental illness, which comes first?

Got to love the political dexterity of Kemp. He, unlike governors in other states that are implementing plans to directly help citizens that will not receive SNAP benefits, is saying he has no way to directly help. Kemp’s office instead plans on coordinating with food banks and nonprofits to prepare for increased demand. Thanks Brian, that’s exactly what we needed.

The True President and the Republicans are using SNAP as leverage against the Democrats to fund the government. It’s sad that poor people have to go hungry because the right-wing doesn’t want to compromise.

Fletcher, you kinda get it, but you evidently don’t realize how little pride there is in all these freeloaders who count on some entity called “government” to supply their needs so they don’t have to go to work. Right, they have no pride, but we keep taking care of the needy and the able-bodied. The latter must stop.

I have a question for those who think it’s OK for a president to build a multimillion-dollar ballroom onto the White House as a monument to himself. Would you have had any objections if Bill Clinton, Barack Obama or Joe Biden had done that? Be honest, at least with yourselves. That Man Without a Family

Wow. Putting a military deserter on the front page. Now that’s really low, even for the Herald and that’s not saying much..

Here we go again. “Stable genius” Trump claims that he aced a test for dementia, which he says is an IQ test. And he said AOC and Jasmine Crockette have low IQs. Why only two women of color who are Democrats in the House? Why never MTG and Lauren Boebert? Because he’s a flaming racist. I will never forget the look of disbelief on AXIOS reporter Jonathan Swann’s face when Trump bragged about acing this test in his first term.

It’s pretty cool living in a community that has folks like Tonette and Wayne Allen in it. These two’s efforts have become the highlight of Halloween for a lot of kids. A great place for fun and safe thrills for the season. We’re proud that they’re our neighbors.
