As soon as I’m able, I will move my family out of Albany. The shootings are getting more frequent and widespread, and the police and elected officials don’t seem to really care.

If the Albany City Commission allows Tripp Morgan to come back to Pretoria downtown, they should be impeached. Morgan owes hundreds of thousands of dollars, and he cheated his employees out of their rightful pay.

Thank you, John Cowan, for your article on the need for Congressional term limits. Another item that needs to be addressed is why, during a government shutdown when so many government employees are doing without a paycheck,does Congress continue to get theirs. Fair is fair.

Bo Dorough sure took a big gulp of the Morgan Kool-Aid. The mayor says Pretoria was hurt during COVID, but they got multimillion-dollar contracts from the state and federal governments to create hand sanitizer. If the city had any brains and guts, it would look into where all that money went.

Troubled Kirk squawker: Mr Kirk was many things, but a true patriot he was not. A racist, misogynistic flame-thrower he was. He stood for many things … the Constitution and American values, not so much.

There is something wrong when folks use a $1,200 phone to check their EBT card balance.

A recent “squawker” claims that, among other things, the political left has “abandoned civility and common decency.”  This is pretty rich coming from an apparent supporter of a famously adulterous man (common decency?) who called his porn star lover a “horseface.” (Civility?) I would say this supporter is the person who has abandoned logic and reason. Breathtaking hypocrisy for sure.

So Trump has figured it out that his MAGA base is all-in for his spewing hate, anger, racism and white nationalism. 

There is a man who takes over the entire sidewalk in front of the library downtown. Police, Code Enforcement, even the library staff do nothing. You can’t go past because this man is sitting in a chair in the middle of the sidewalk with his grocery cart on one side and another bag on the other. It’s scary. Can’t someone do something?

I don’t understand how these Trump worshippers can listen to the lie that Democrats were holding out for money that would provide free insurance for immigrants and that led to the shutdown. That’s just a bald-faced lie, and yet these nitwits who support Trump and his idiot VP Vance just keep buying into all these lies.

No matter what your politics may be, at some point Trump’s lack of basic competence has got to concern you. He’s supposed to be a great businessman, a deal-maker, but I doubt he could run a successful lemonade stand in the desert. That Man Without a Family

Isn’t it amazing how quickly Trump and his buffoons pushed the Kirk narrative, saw that they had little impact, and moved on to more important things like planning to cut jobs and distracting from the criminal Epstein files?

Just wanted to thank the Herald for recently including two “7 Little Words” in each paper. It’s nice to have another brain teaser to exercise that grey matter.

While SOWEGA has not seen the growth most of the other parts of Georgia have in the past 25 years or so, I hope Georgia being the No. 1 state in the nation to do business will slow down.  Other parts of the state are being destroyed by the growth. I know we need jobs in Georgia, but at what cost?

Racism is so American that when you protest it, people think you’re protesting America.

SMRs, the True President pledged a golden era for the middle class. Incomes have not gone up, inflation is skyrocketing and we are waiting on new job creation. Promises not kept.

I’m still trying to figure out if Trump supporters don’t realize the man can’t open his mouth without a lie falling out, or if they know but just don’t care. Do they not understand he’s lying to them, too? If so, I guess it doesn’t matter how detrimental many of his policies are to the average Trump supporter. I hear we are planning a colony on the moon and then on to Mars. This is very expensive and very important, but I prefer  spending our limited resources on educating our children and having safe streets. We need to get our house in order before expanding to the universe. 

The True President can cure cancer and autism, I just wish I could touch his robe.
