The Nazis tried to exterminate the Jewish race with gas chambers and furnaces. Today, Israelis are trying to exterminate Arabs with heavy ordnance and famine. It was a crime in the 1940’s; it’s a crime today.

That squawk about Don Junior not being a dope head had to be sarcastic.

Louisville, Ky., and other cities have started crushing impounded vehicles caught disturbing the peace and racing. Videos online. Genius idea. Is there any chance GSP, Lee and Dougherty County commissions could be convinced to do this? A great use of our tax dollars.  

Since electing the true president, Republican voter’s outlook on the direction of country has soured.   

Five NFL teams declined a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk, but each celebrated George Floyd. (Bengals, Lions, Colts, Ravens, Vikings)

Our rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution have been grossly violated by a government instituted to protect them. These constitutional violations have increased independent of whether there’s been a Democrat controlled Washington or a Republican controlled Washington. It started with Abraham Lincoln

To the freak who “comforted” the parents who lost their young child to an accident by posting on social media that the child was now “with Charlie Kirk in heaven” … you are a sincerely sick individual.

People like TLAIB, OMAR, and AOC do not care about anything other than justifying hate and disrespect for America. They are most likely putting their lives in great danger by their constant behavior. 

Re “shootings continue in Albany” news item, please someone call Donald Duck and send in the National Guard. It will be good for restaurants and hotels.

Hitler asked/demanded that all those faithful to the party should report those that spoke against him or the movement. He promised to the dissenters rooted out of their society.Trump just did the same thing. One more step into an authoritarian state. When they come for you who will be there to say, no more?

SMRs hope you have SAVED UP because your Health Insurance is going up in January.  Some will lose their health insurance all together thanks to the true president. 

I see that the orange boy is pulling out all the stops to memorize the death of a young MAGA supporter in Utah recently. He died for what he believed in, and I hope the death penalty is imposed on the person who shot him. What does not surprise me is that Trump completely ignored the murder of a Republican elected official named Melissa Hortman on June 19. When he was asked why Mrs. Hortman’s death was not memorialized in any way, he replied that “nobody asked him.“

Where was this Braves team early in what became a lost, wasted season?

Make no mistake, squawker, the Republicans are more afraid of Trump than anyone. Haven’t you seen those little fanny-kissing cowards running around all scared?

Democrats are to blame for all the violence in this country.

I’m proud to be a long-time reader of The Albany Herald. I don’t always agree with everything that’s written, and my political positions are pretty different from the Herald editor’s. But I like the way the staff is willing to take a stand on issues and is willing to talk to the people who make the news in our community.

While everyone hopes for reduced crime, it has been reported for several years that many cities do not even report their crime stats to the FBI. So we do not know what crime is in many cities. Albany is reporting a reduced crime rate, while we must wonder if all crimes are being reported or are they giving us numbers to make the city leaders look better?

So many squawkers spreading vitriol when they have no clue what they are talking about. It’s sad and dangerous.  

I now understand, after seeing people bend themselves in most curious ways these last few days. It’s called Doublethink — The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. Let’s project ourselves as Christians, but let us also seek revenge and subjugate those that don’t accept our views.

It’s paradoxical that the idea of living a long life appeals to everyone, but the idea of getting older doesn’t.appeal to anyone.

Saturday’s editorials by Knighton and Randall were well-written and truthful. But Knighton’s education article and Randall’s on crime fail to mention the No. 1 problem with youth in Albany. Fathers … or the absence of them. Children raised without a father begin life at a terrible disadvantage.

Now that the Trump tariffs are kicking in, to quote Elvis, “I’ll have a blue, blue Christmas.”

Nemesis, the Greek goddess of Retribution and Justice: We are in need of her intervention. 

During a Saturday morning visit to the car wash at Dawson and Slappey, every few minutes a car drag-raced at the stop light, often with an illegal stereo blasting. No sign of APD the entire time, and at the largest and most central intersection in Albany. Thousands of dollars of lost citation revenue. Countless taxpayers, seniors and children in danger. Shame on lazy Persley and our city commission.

No, Squawker, Kirk was killed in a despicable act of violence, not because of reprogramming youth but because he was a racist,misogynistic, anti-immigrant espousing violence and intolerance, which unfortunately came back to him in spades. Preach hate, you get hate.

America does not need to worry about foreign terrorists. We have the Democratic party doing a good job destroying America from within.
