NADINE MATHIS

I recall the years 1963 and 1964. Tommie Postell and June Bug Griffin, around ages nine and 12 years old. Children bought candy from the Mathis Grocery Store. Their mothers bought groceries by the week paying on the first of the month and those boys were raised by good parents. We had good meats and fresh vegetables every day. We served Holloway, Harding, Van Buren and Gordon streets. All those years, what a change.
