ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded at least 16 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included;
— Battery on the 1300 block of East Roosevelt Avenue, the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road, the 1200 block of Julia Avenue and the 200 block of Slater King Drive;
— Criminal trespass on the 600 block of Burke Avenue, the 1900 block of Meadow Drive and the 2200 block of South Jackson Street;
— Forgery on the 900 block of Leisure Court;
— Home invasion on the 1400 block of Palmyra Road;
— Burglary on the 1900 block of South Riverview Circle;
— Theft by taking on the 100 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 300 block of Drexel Street and the 1000 block of North Madison Street;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road, the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 200 block of Cordele Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 10 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Suspicious autos on the 6600 block of Newton Road and the 300 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— 911 hang-up on the 3000 block of Woodridge Court;
— Theft by taking on the 600 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Bite case on the 1800 block of Mayflower Lane;
— Civil case on the 1400 block of Hancock Road;
— Assist motorist on the 2600 block of Cordele Road;
— Abandoned vehicle on the 2700 block of Cordele Road;
— Traffic arrest on the 900 block of Philema Road;
— Traffic control on the 3900 block of Gravel Hill Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 27 calls on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— EMS assists on the 1500 block of Palmyra Road, the 2000 block of Hilltop Drive, the 700 block of Clark Avenue, the 3300 block of Twin Flower Road, the 1800 block of Dawson Road and the 3900 block of Gillionville Road;
— Passenger vehicle fires at the intersection of Blaylock Street and Ball Park Lane and the 5400 block of Dyson Court;
— Auto accident on the 2300 block of Whispering Pines Road;
— Unauthorized burnings on the 1800 block of Acker Drive and the 1200 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Animal rescues on the 1300 block of West Fourth Avenue and the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Cooking fire on the 1100 block of Clark Avenue;
— Arcing electrical on the 1400 block of North Monroe Street;
— Building fires on the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue, the 1800 block of Dawson Road, the 3900 block of Gravel Hill Road, the 900 block of West Whitney Avenue and the 2400 block of Barnesdale Way;
— Smoke detector activation on the 1000 block of River Pointe Drive;
— Smoke removal on the 400 block of Flint Avenue;
— Power lines down on the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue and the 1500 block of Antioch Road;
— Natural gas leak on the 2900 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Extrication of victims from car at the intersection of Sylvester Highway and Johnson Road and the 2600 block of Gillionville Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 49 calls on Tuesday and the early hours Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included one chest pain call, eight respiratory issue calls, one stroke call, one labor issue call, one seizure call, seven abdominal pain calls and 15 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included seven traffic accidents, two falls, two lacerations, two assaults and one gunshot victim. Other calls included one standby for AFD.
