ALBANY — Motor vehicle theft and robbery by force incidents were reported to the Albany Police Department on Wednesday evening, officials from the agency said.

Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said the robbery is reported to have taken place at Turner Job Corps, at 2000 Schillings Ave., at 10:16 p.m. Contact was made with the victim, who reported he was placed in a headlock by one of four individuals while they took his money.

He said the incident took place in the power building. He identified the suspects, and all of them were transported to the APD Law Enforcement Center and released into the custody of investigators.

Banks said the suspects were identified as Christopher Neal, 20; Leo Lucas, 17; Hakeem Robbins, 18; and Omon Aigbeken, 21.

The motor vehicle theft was reported from the 600 block of Johnson Road, and is said to have taken place between 9-9:16 p.m. on Wednesday. The victim told officers that her father, Dale Cato III, 40, pushed her during an argument and the keys to her black 2005 Ford Focus fell from her hand.

She said Cato took the keys and drove off in her car without her permission, Banks said.

A lookout was posted for the vehicle, and officers responded back to the location after Cato returned with the vehicle. Cato was taken into custody and transported to the APD Law Enforcement Center, where he was turned over to investigators.

Banks said the vehicle and keys were left in the custody of the victim, and the alert on the vehicle was lifted.
