ATLANTA – The Georgia Chamber of Commerce has announced the beginning of its 2019 New Georgia Economy Series. In partnership with local chambers, the Georgia Chamber will offer half-day workshops to provide unique insights on the emerging business trends and risks, and the impact to small businesses, innovation and entrepreneurship that the state faces.

The second meeting of the series, scheduled for May 21, will be held at Albany State University.

To take advantage of Georgia’s emerging economy and help businesses prepare for the changes, the series provides an opportunity for small business owners to hear from experts about a wide range of topics. Topics include big data and security, talent and leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, global commerce and competitiveness, advanced corporate and university research and development, and physical infrastructure and assets. Small businesses will have the opportunity to better prepare for the developing trends in the economy as well as mitigate the risks.

“The Georgia Chamber is proud to partner with our local chambers to help small businesses around the state prepare for the New Georgia Economy by launching this new half-day workshop with local and state experts,” Georgia Chamber President/CEO Chris Clark said in a news release announcing the series.

The series begins with a tour in the spring that will begin on April 25 and end on June 27. Below are the dates and locations for the tour stops:

— April 25: Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville

— May 21: Albany State University in Albany

— May 23: University of Georgia in Athens

— June 18: Central Georgia Technical College in Warner Robins
