ALBANY — The mother and sister of homicide victim Jeffrey Nunley made an impassioned plea today to the public for any information leading to the arrest of Nunley’s killer.

For as yet unknown reasons, Nunley was gunned down May 5 in front of his home on Whitney Avenue.

“Jeffrey was not into gangs,” Nunley’s mother, Robin Williams, said at a news conference at the Albany Police Department’s downtown Law Enforcement Center. “He didn’t dislike anyone and everyone liked him.”

Nunley’s former employer, Air Quality Service in Albany, had offered a reward of $1,000 to anyone with information leading to the conviction of his killer. On Wednesday, the owners of the company, Al Rogers and Joe Brim, announced they were doubling of that reward to $2,000.

Rogers said that Nunley was a good, dependable employee who he was certain was uninvolved with drugs and criminal activities.

APD Cpl. Terrence Bryant said that while there were some individuals considered to be “persons of interest,” more solid information was needed before the investigation could move forward in a meaningful way.

Anyone with information regarding the circumstances of Nunley’s death or his possible killer is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431- 2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-8477 to give the information anonymously for a possible reward.
