We never really grow up — we only learn how to act in public.

Why is it so difficult to understand that if a business sells its product for less than cost it cannot remain long as a viable concern? B.J. Fletcher took the responsible action by voting for the utility rate increase in view of the increased cost to the utility of its product. I have never met B.J., but I thank her for her leadership.

If you miss the circus that closed, go to Washington, D.C.

Next time you buy flowers for a funeral, remember Jesus’ words. Flowers are for the living, for the dead they cannot smell.

Former FBI Director James Comey gave his opening statement, called the president of the United States a liar and Republicans say it’s a win. It’s like the Falcons thinking the Super Bowl is over after the first half. There’s more to come.

The analysis of Comey’s testimony by network experts sounded as if they are talking about two different testimonies. CNN painted Comey as a saint and Trump as impeachable offender. Fox pointed out that Comey violated several federal laws, including illegal distribution of federal documents and not reporting a crime to his superiors.

James Comey was a disgruntled fired employee. No need for Jack Kingston or anybody else to be ashamed. Comey had no idea which side of bread to put butter on.

The governor orders flags to half-staff when a soldier from the Atlanta area, killed in a vehicle crash, was laid to rest. However, no such order when the Lt. Weston, recipient of the Bronze Star, of Clay County, was laid to rest. Both died for their country and both deserve equal respect.

Somebody please tell me one lie Trump has told. I don’t believe he’s a liar.

Hard liberals like Steve and Cokie Roberts want to talk about the Constitution and our freedom, yet they want to let folks in that would tear down our freedoms.

In the squawk about city commissioners being like Trump, if they were anything close to being like Trump the town would be zooming by now.

Cokie Roberts says President Trump is unhinged for his travel ban from some Muslim countries. To the contrary, he is doing exactly what he was elected to do.

Any FBI director who purposely leaked a private meeting with the president should be fired.

I’m tired of Trump always crying about being the victim. My 6-year-old takes more responsibility for her actions than Trump’ does.

To Spencer Lee and the Rails to Trails people, if all the people that’s for the Rails to Trails had to join a membership that’s $100 for lifetime you wouldn’t have a half a dozen in it.

How could B.J. be in favor of raising our utility rates? She wants to be our mayor.

If President Trump does not produce any tape from his conversations with Director Comey, the president will lose all credibility.

How long’s Paula Deen going to run these same cooking shows over and over on the Fox channel?

Thirty-seven percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance. You can’t fix stupid.
