Rightfully, citizens are complaining about a utility rate increase, but everyone is so numb to outrageous property and auto ad valorem tax we just accept it. If you have not bought a car since 2013, you are still under the old ad valorem tax law in which Dougherty county has always been one of the highest in the state.

All the Republican legislators without a security detail need to get a carry permit so they can protect themselves. It is a shame we have such a state of affairs. Sad.

We see on the news this morning where a man goes on a shooting spree at a ball park. He ask before, is it Democrats or Republicans playing ball? This tells me the Democrats have gone out of their ever-loving minds. They will use violence to get their point across.

What a sad contrast between the community spirit, vision and leadership that sparked the building of the Civic Center and staffed it with professional, competent management that attracted many major events, and the unconcerned attitude now. This lovely structure now sits vastly under-used, even as Albanians see major events go to nearby towns.

The squawker who stated that he or she would believe a lineman over a host of scientists illustrates how someone as ill-prepared and unsuited as Donald Trump was elected to the presidency.

Why would anyone call in tips or alert the authorities about illegal drugs? We, in the neighborhood, did that years ago and it still goes on 24/7 after 2 1/2 years.
